Recently, I've quite enjoyed Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King by the Dave Matthews Band.

Dug out Songs for the Front Row - Best of Ocean Colour Scene over the weekend.  Not listened to it for about four years but it still sounds great.

New Zero7 (out next week, or on spotify premium now) is good. I'm enjoying new Kasabian album and Mazzy Star.

I haven't bought an album in ages, money seems to be going towards moving house and buying cars - really dull grown-up stuff.  I have been taken with Kings of Leon recently and am considering purchasing Only By The Night.  Wise move or not?

I'd say don't bother, but then I think I may be the only person out there who reckons Kings of Leon are incredibly shit in a really boring way.

New Flaming Lips album out on October 14th, get that instead. On interwebs already. Enjoying it now.

I actually didn't like them when I first heard them, but a couple of the singles have really now got under my skin.

If you're into their older stuff, like Aha Shake Heartbreak, then Only By The Night might be a bit of a disappointment for you because it's a bit more 'mainstream'. I suppose it's a bit pop-ish in a way. If it's Because Of The Times that you've gotten into, then I'd say Only By The Night will be enjoyable for you.

Hmmm, interesting - I might do it then, I love indie/rock with a nod to pop.  I suppose that's why I'm a Beatles fanatic.

The latest album that I got that's new-ish is Bombay Bicycle Club's I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose. Pretty decent listen.

Go for it. I loved it for the first few months of listening, but now it's waned a bit and I find it a bit plain. Been listening to their older stuff more recently.
