Have a list coming my way from my dad as well - various ones from this year I think.

The Gaslight Anthem; Seasick Steve; Secret Machines; White Lies; Lonely Dear; 1990's; Bell X1; Animal Collective; The Script; Depeche Mode; The Broken Family Band; John Frusciante; Filthy Dukes; The Hours; Silversun Pickups; Starsailor; Doves; The Decemberists; The Veils; Yeah,Yeah,Yeahs; Niccokick: The Horrors; The Maccabees and Jarvis Cocker.

Have all of those in bold and like all of them.

Bob's Orange, Animal Collective's album is real good.

Here they are on David Letterman recently:

Not to everyone's taste I'd warrant, but really cannot wait to see them at Glastonbury.

In the last week I have bought Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest; ISIS - Wavering Radiant; Passion Pit - Manners and The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die.

Really enjoying all of them, for differing reasons.

Oh and the Beastie Boys have a new album about to drop.

Probably more like Beastie Men these days though.

I bought Madness' new album the other day....havent got round to listening to it yet. Obviously they're never going to write another Night Boat To Ciaro but i seen them live the other week and the new tunes were sounding alright.

Other recent purchases have been Morrissey, The Enemy which i'm sure you've all heard and The Rifles album which i think is class

next i'm looking forward to the Kid British album in July

Quite old, but i acquired Air - Talkie Walkie t'other day.

Worth it just for the tune that's seemingly everywhere, Alpha Beta Gaga.

i love you, rich.

some of my girlfriend's albums have moved in before she has, so i've been listening to them a bit. enjoying dylan's 'bringing it all back home' and rediscovering 'everything must go' by the manics thanks to the 10th anniversary edition.

The album is a relatively fragile tender beast that benefits hugely from repeat listens. I liked it then, I love it now.

Is the single "Two Weeks"?

Here is a treat for you in case you missed it...
