Fleet Foxes is real nice. Look forward to seeing them at Glastonbury.

I had a minor blow out the other day to do some catching up and bought Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak; Fever Ray - Fever Ray; The Lemonheads - The Lemonheads; Beck - Guero; Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Airplane Over The Sea, and Simian Mobile Disco - Attack Decay Sustain Release.

Incidentally from Beck's 'Guero' sessions here is a cool little track called "Clap Hands", with a novel percussion section:

I bought 4 Smiths albums as well feeling that I should give them a good go, but I just don't get it at all.

I love the Smiths, but if you aren't sure with bands like that you are best of going with a greatest hits, then if you like them start delving through the back catalogue. Fleet Foxes is  a grower, i wasn't sure at first, but play it at least once a week now.

I'm listening to M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel's She & Him alot at the moment - good walking to work music. I've had the album itself for a while now.

Albums I've listened to today...

The Rosebuds - Life Like
Cold War Kids - Loyalty to Loyalty
The Knux - Remind Me in 3 Days...
Blitzen Trapper - Furr

Zooey Deschanel is well fit.

I've got one of M Ward's older albums, Transistor Radio, but struggled with it.

Possibly time to give it another go.

Depeche Mode, Sounds of the universe - an improvement on Exciter and the one after whose name I can't even remember. But they haven't had 'it' since Songs of Faith and Devotion.

The Manics - Journal for plague lovers. Typical MSP really, pretty decent. Not quite in the shops yet though Lips Sealed

The Enemy - Music for the people. Quite like this, sound very much like a stadium rock band.

Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. My favourite album of the year so far. Again, not quite in the shops yet though.

Any album with a song called "chasing after deer" has got to be good
