I can see Reg in the front row.

Those fans in 1912 look like a cheerful bunch - sad to think how many of them would be left six years later.

Memories of the good ole days.

Really nice photo's le god cuervo thank's,I used to love standing next to the away fan's when they was given that corner bit between stratton bank and the southside, those were the day's when it was propper football ground's,anyone remember the old den on cold blow lane, the away fan's was situated in that corner with the flood light pylon.I really miss those kind of days.

You just can't beat the old style ground's unlike today's souless stadiums.

Yes, I remember the old Den very well.  That bit for the away fans was like a cage.  Hostile as f'k.  Did you go when the skinhead ran on the pitch and took the corner?

Some good footage on you tube of when away fans were in corner, lots of Swindon in amongst them. Does anyone remember when the old tea hut in away section was set on fire, think it was either pompy or spurs fans !

Good find Reg, was a teenager then but can't remember it being that bad trouble wise at spurs game. Is that the game we drew? Went to away game but loads of Swindon got turned away, us included ! A crash on the north circular delayed lots of fans and it was full when we finally got to the lane. Think we were winning until late on and spurs brought on Armstrong? Who got a couple of late goals and knocked us out.

Went to that home and away....absolutely hammered them away and i remember watching the highlights on Sportsnight in a local pub really distraught, think we had a goal dissalowed when 1 up also
Kamara was brilliant at White Hart Lane.

Sportsnight theme music......can you remember the midweek exitement before mass sports coverage became the norm.

The Swindon fans that were locked out were trying to smash through the locked turnstiles, some managed to get in too ! Remember watching the highlights as we were back by about 10pm loved watching the Town around that time.

The photo of the stage in the Arkells stand brings back memories.  If I remember right, the stage faced forwards into the seats around where the Directors boxs is now.

I remember my parents going to a Sid Lawrence Orchetra concert there.
