Mega ace...I love the cricket pic of 68....the players used to put out a side in the local Thursday evening league.  Also they'd play friendlies, around the shires, which was a good thing because as is still the case many Town fans come from surrounding areas, and you'd always get quite a turnout for a Sunday game. Which helped engender a feeling of "club" and community.

Not like today's let downs who just get pissed and beat up on birds...what a contemptible shower, unworthy of any respect.

Back then many footballers played 1st class cricket in the summer...Don Rogers was a seriously good player, as was Rod Thomas.  I once saw Rogers score a hundred in an evening game, which consisted of 15 8 ball overs.

The 63 pic looks like one from the big freeze when the players wore basketball boots.

You misunderstand me my dear Dean.

I was laughing at the old board's plan to concrete over the cricket and athletics tracks...

Tip is looking lovely in the spring sunshine btw. You should get up there and climb up the top. You can see for miles on a clear day.

Without sounding sad, that was one of the most interesting threads I've ever seen on here.  Thanks, Le god Cuervo.

I love the County Ground.  Seriously love it.

Eh? The forest?

Or the CG?

If it's the forest I can provide an alternative route...
