i now it's an old track but i want to know what it's called and who it's by.
i thought it was the waterboys,but they are irish.so it cant be can it.
anyone know as i want to listen to the whole song.it's superb imo

Is it not fishermans blues by the waterboys?  Mike scott of the waterboys is actually scottish, but became an honorary irishman after spending three years in galway writing and recording sessions for the fishermans blues album
