Obviously I'd love Smith to stay because he scored a shed full of goals from midfield - but to be honest, until he got in the team, I thought he was rubbish. And apart from scoring goals (which I appreciate is kind of important), I'm not sure he's such a great player.
If he wants to stay then fantastic, carry on getting the goals. If he wants to get a longer term deal then I can't blame him - with limited talent you probably want the security.

I would love him to stay, and can wait as long as necessary to hear that. What I don't want is him decidin to leave on deadline day leaving kingy with little time to replace him.

I hope Smith reads this. He might learn a very valuable lesson. Fans can be your best friend or your worst enemy. The way this situation has been handled by every party is rediculous, least of all Grant Smith. Also, why the fuck would you need your dad to be your 'agent'. Why can't Grant make a decision for himself?
Personally I hope he signs, then apologises to the fans. I think I have more chance of winning the lottery at this moment in time though.

Blimey are you channelling Andy King or something? Cos I think that pretty much summarises everything he's said about Smith over the past six months ;-)
