Can anyone help?

I have just purchased a new Hewlett Packard laptop and im having a bit of trouble with my internet. I am using a dongle for my connection if that makes any difference to the problem.

When i try to close a window down the screen automatically shows me a "internet connection failure" sign which then brings up a small window telling me that i have lost connection and it is trying to repair the problem. Then it says it will send me a solution when it is available. The thing is that the screen with the Internet connection failure window still wont close and the whole process repeats itself.

Any other windows that i have open are still connected to the internet and usable so its not the obvious. (to me anyway)

Does your new laptop not have a wireless adapter built in?  Most do these days so if you've bought a new one without it I'd advise you to take it back and get a different one.

If you are using a mobile dongle then it sounds like it may be broken - suggest you try changing it

I have removed a programme called PC confidential 08. It has fixed the problem.
