about time he retired, he was no use to us whatsoever. He's a footnote in the failure of Maurice Malpas's reign and nothing more.

I was interested in Watkins comments about this - That he felt Nalis was suprised about the pace in League One.

Sounds to me that Nalis wanted one final season and thought he'd cope a division down. He wanted one last hurrah and it didn't work out - so be it.

I saw Nalis many times at Plymouth and was easily their most consistant player (as recently as last season).

I don't think the players around him helped nor do I think that he helped the midfielders around him either!!! Our midfield has been poor this season as we know.

Even when Nalis was nowhere near the first team - He was always around, talking to the press about team matters and not himself, unlike others who disappear to the point that you forget about them until they're named on the bench due to injuries!

Met Nalis last year when he viewed a house with me - spot on guy and very down to earth! So down to earth he turned up in a Smart car - quality
