Yes, but that was also L2.
The key factor in that defense was Williams though. He was a quality player for us and had been playing in the Championship prior to that.
Its a shame injuries put an end to his career because he's probably the best defender we've had for a good number of years and if im being honest he was a better defender than Greer is.
Not that it matters now because Adi has retired.
He also got the best out Ifil and no one else has quite managed it as well as Adi did

That last line is one of the most perceptive I've read on here for a long time - very, very true. |

BREAKING NEWS: Town defender Vincent arrested
12:52pm Tuesday 5th May 2009
TOWN defender Jamie Vincent has been arrested on suspicion of GBH, following an incident in the early hours of Monday morning (May 4).
The 33-year-old, who is due to find out in the next 48 hours if he will be offered a new contract at the County Ground, was arrested after a disturbance in Commercial Road.
Vincent has been released on police bail, and Swindon Town media manager Chris Tanner said: "We can confirm that Jamie Vincent was arrested, and the club will be making no further comment at the moment."

Well... No official announcements but from what I can gather from the end of season dinner last night after talking to players etc, Hamdi Razak is gone (but has offers from Yeovil & Gillingham), Michael Pook is gone (Obvious), Blair Sturrock is gone(Obvious), Peter Brezovan is gone (Wants to play football and won't get it here).
Finally got something right although it was pretty obvious anyway... |
