Did anyone else have the misfortune to watch this program last night?

We had the two lads who had fled a stolen motor. The car had been hotwired, but they were both found not guilty in court.

The 'drug den' in Manchester. 25 officers in full riot gear, who had to blow torch off a gate to get into this dingy Manchester flat at 4am in the morning all to find......... a small amount of cannabis! The man was fined £120 in court.

A drug operation in Manchester. Again around 25 officers sealing pubs and using the sniffer dogs. They did two pubs and found.............. 1 lad with some ecstacy pills. He was given a community order.

The Asian in Oldham who was found with £1000 worth of fake £20 notes. He was fined less in court than the police found in stolen notes in his house!

And the only serious crime of the program. A shop worker in an Iceland's in South East London who was pistol wipped with a loaded weapon, but managed to fight off 3 robbers. Despite having the gun they seemed to have no leads whatsoever, suspects still at large.

But they did have one success!!! The easy target!!! Youve guessed it, a Celtic football fan at Aberdeen was found with a bottle of alcohol in Pittodrie was fined £750 by the courts.

Just a total shambles. Couldnt believe they showed 25 riot police dawn raiding a bloke all to find a small amount of cannabis! Total waste of taxpayers money.

Yeah we saw it and thought exactly the same - what a waste of fucking time and effort but not the Police's fault if the court/solicitors are stacking the odds against them - I can understand why the Police really don't give a shit anymore, it's the main reason I never stayed in the job, I could see it coming and am so glad I left...

Easy targets without any chasing around are favourites for the police now.

I quite enjoy watching the Police with Traffic cops type programs, but your right; there always seems to be a build up that they are targeting the biggest crims ever, then at the end of the program we are told that they are given a £25 fine and asked not to be a nuisance again.  Kiss
