Been babysitting most of the weekend so have had great fun reading a couple of classics.
Hairy Maclary From Donaldson’s Dairy is absolutely brilliant, but this weekend it was all about it's underrated sequel Hairy Maclary's Bone. It's a very flexible piece of literature which can be read in a number of styles. My favourite is in early 90's hip hop style. Good times.
On the other hand, I find the much rated Peepo! incredibly boring. Yawn city.

Its all about Dr Seuss. Cat in the hat and its fine sequel, the cat in the hat comes back just a couple of classics along with his 'sleep' book.

Where The Wild Things Are.
And more recently Dear Zoo. The delight of making animal noises doesn't really fade.

Spike Jonze has directed a film version of Where the wild things are.Not sure how its worked out, should be interesting if nothing else.

Dear Zoo doesn't make any fucking sense. If I wrote to the zoo asking for a pet I'm pretty sure I'd get told to fuck right off. They certainly wouldn't ship me out a variety of exotic animals.
