Ah, so it's not my hearing. Just to add to your comment DV, the only time I can understand what is coming out of the tannoy is when I'm in the bogs. I think that is why when the guy does the "good afternoon to the DR stand" he gets little or no reaction. You can hear it clearly in the bogs and perfectly about a mile down the cycle track that goes down the back of the Nationwide past St. Joes and eveutally all the way down to greenbridge!!!

Poor JFW. Whilst these dumpy pre-teens are growing into sexy early 20-somethings she'll be flagging out about to hit her 40's.

Songs or tunes to run out to should always be unique (until some other club nicks it), regardless of how good or bad it is. Some kind of local connection should also be a factor. Therefore, XTC's 'Senses Working Overtime' should be the one. Not particularly stirring, but then does any one of these tunes ever get the crowd going? At least 'SWO' mentions 'football':
And all the world is football-shaped It's just for me to kick in space And I can see, hear, smell, touch, taste And I've got one, two, three, four, five Senses working overtime Trying to take this all in. I've got one, two, three, four, five Senses working overtime Trying to taste the difference 'Tween a lemon and a lime Pain and the pleasure And the church bells softly chime.
Failing that, how about the theme song to 'It Ain't Half Hot Mum'? For years I thought 'B. O. B. O. Y. S. ...' could be replaced with 'S. T. S. T. F. C. boys to entertain youuuu'. I've never had the guts to try it out in the TE though. Wonder why?

If you sit in the leftside I'm not surprised, it's like the Arkells over there.
