I think I must have saw a different game than some on here.  I didn't think were terrible at all.  We gave away a silly goal, granted but i've seen us play far worse than that.  We were so unlucky today and if the chances we had went in we could have been 3 up by half time.  Two coming off the bar and one off the keepers head tells me it wasn't our day.  It happens.

Timlin I thought was one of our best players today and thought Paynter did well also.  Thought OTJ and Vincent weren't bad either.  Ifil is Ifil and thought he had a pretty shocking game tbh.

They took their chance and then did nothing more.  We totally dominated the game.

I think we will stay up, however we do have a lot of dead wood which simply has to go come the end of the season.

Felt sorry for Macklin as didn't really work for him today but certainly won't be writing him off/judging him on that alone.  Was pretty disgusted with some of the negativity toward him from some of our fans, hes 17 and has potential and just needs time to settle in.  A bit of encouragement wouldn't have gone a miss.

All in all, a bad day in the office but certainly wasn't as bad as some are making out.

Lastly, Kanu irritates me and needs to start playing as part of a team.

I agree with you Luci.

Quite a lot of people over-reacting massively today.

Some of whom possibly should know better.

Have I missed something or are we precisely the same distance clear of relegation as we were Saturday night, but with one game less to play?

Yep you've missed something...Brighton's win with a game in hand brings 2 spots back into play....Cobblers still have 2 home games in hand 1 v Hereford....Crewe got a point, and Carlisle can drag themselves up by winning Saturday. We needed at least a point to take advantage of Saturday.

Ah yes, now I can see precisely why you consider us to be right back in the shit.

I agree with pretty much all of that. Both Timlin and Paynter done well, Greer was immense again. Big Kev is really worrying me now, I've never seen him play well and he was poor again today. Macca didnt make the most of the little possesion he had. Kanu is a talented lad, and his run and cross for cox's header was class, just wish he'd put a bit more into it.

It was completely the wrong time to introduce macklin, and he didn't impress, but the fans treatment of him was pathetic. People round me were actually booing him every touch after his first couple of mistakes. The kid's 17, give him a break!

Lovely finish from their lad after being given the freedom of swindon, then it was 11 men behind the ball after that and we were unlucky not to get a point.

sadly we're now right back in the shit

Although I completely agree that we're nowhere near safe, there are teams in worse form than us without showing signs of dramatically improving.

That said, even if we had won or drawn today I wouldn't have fancied our chances at Carlisle.

This is going to be close.

Exactly.

I suspect some thought we were clear after Saturday and expected us to suddenly turn into a results machine over-night, hence the sudden panic again.

Ifil - Shit
Tudor Jones - Fucking Diabolical
Kanu - Shit
Amankwaah - Shit
Macklin - Shit
Paynter - Shit

One bit of class in the whole game and that was their goal. The ball didn't bounce for us at times, but we looked so lethargic at times, and anyone who wants us to sign tudor-jones needs their head examined. He offers us fuck all more than nalis does, just trundles around the midfield, giving the ball away.
You missed one - Cox he was shit as welll!

Saturday and Tuesday is the important dates.

Saturday is a full set of fixtures and Tuesday is one of Northamptons games in hand, against Scunthorpe.

Guy sat next to me actually asked who Macklin was,  then booed him cos he didn't like the colour of his boots.  We do have some real cretins as supporters!  We had plenty of possession, but no guile or craft - not enough cunning to get behind a resolute defence.  When we did get behind them we looked dangerous, but it seemed fairly obvious we were not going to score.

See my last post, if I get a season ticket next season I will definitely move, that cretin I sit next to is such a depressing cunt, a couple of people around me cheered when he got up to go a few minutes early!

That's pathetically hilarious though.
