Reads like people will come home and ask how on earth we lost that one.
Luton relegated.

Brighton win - very good day for their chances. Northampton lose. Crewe draw.

Bristol Rovers will be horrible - a draw could be okay in Cumbria.

However, loss at Carlisle could be disastrious.

that was a disappointing game
could've been very different had we not given them a run at an exposed defence in the first ten minutes though, once they scored it was 11 men behind the ball

We were terrible today. Offered nothing in midfield at all. Every time a midfielder got the ball, they'd stop, turn around and give it to the defence, who would hten lump it p to either Paynter or 5'6" Cox. Every haf-chance we got was fashioned more out of luck than good play.
Macklin had a shocker, but then so did Timlin and Ifil. Simply not good enough to win it today.
Having said that, the ref had a nightmare (mainly in our favour) and we did hit the bar and post which would have changed my mood. Paynter wants shooting for the headed chances he missed.

Ifil - Shit Tudor Jones - Fucking Diabolical Kanu - Shit Amankwaah - Shit Macklin - Shit Paynter - Shit
One bit of class in the whole game and that was their goal. The ball didn't bounce for us at times, but we looked so lethargic at times, and anyone who wants us to sign tudor-jones needs their head examined. He offers us fuck all more than nalis does, just trundles around the midfield, giving the ball away.

their guy scored a great goal from 20 yards after 2 minutes and after that is was 11 men behind the ball 20 seconds per throw in and 30 seconds each goal kick.
we dominated and it was one sided.
we shouldnt have lost that at all.

One sloppy bit of defending and a great finish. That was all they had. Even the ref tried to help us out.
The performance wasn't that bad. We dominated but had one of those days in front of goal, particularly Paynter who had an otherwise OK match. Nightmare debut for Maklin
Performances, however, are irrelevant, we still need points.
The only crumb of comfort is that all around us lost too. Except Brighton who aren't as dead and buried as they looked 3 hours ago.

didn't go.thought we'd win, but am not surprised by the result. i think we will just stay up(by around 3 points above drop zone) i've well and truly lost the stfc habit now and aint bothered about missing games at all.i will go to the rovers game probably though.plenty will desert the club this summer in the form of season ticket holders and i dont blame them. it's bye bye to cox and morrison too

Yep...we needed to back up Saturday with at least a point today, sadly we're now right back in the shit, today was a microcosm of our season...played OK in parts and lost, follow up a decent result with an opportunity to ease the pressure and blow it.

Have I missed something or are we precisely the same distance clear of relegation as we were Saturday night, but with one game less to play?
