Right, so who now is the more delusional: The fans, or the players?
Easy run in my arse.

Players don't see the game the same way as us.....some of our squad may be working on the basis of more chance of a new contract in L2 rather than L1, whereas others know they're out of the door so don't care either way..

Strange interview.
Like you said Reg, just seems like an indication that they are not as bothered as the others.
Which is partly why they have been so dull to watch this season.

Seriously Reg, fuck off.
On paper Brighton, Orient and Carlisle look games that are winnable.
Having been watching Swindon longer than Phil Smith has I see them as tough games because we have won at Brighton & Carlisle since 1995 and we havent beat Orient at home since 1991.

Maybe Smith was talking about the Sags and Posh.

I hope you are taking the piss? But I doubt it. My view of you is that you see football like the Championship Manager game. Where players have ratings that define more or less how good your team is. You have said most of the season that we are too good to go down and it simply is not true. Football does not work this way. What does 'on paper' count for anyway? Fuck all. Actually less than fuck all. What the fuck is 'on paper' in football terms? What did 'on paper' count for when Carlisle got a draw at Leicester on saturday with half a squad? Over the next few weeks we have to play some of the teams who will want it most. If we are not prepared to get in there and scrap then we will go down. Thats what it comes down to now. Weve consistantly failed against teams at the bottom of the league this season. And what you need to understand is that our failure against these teams has not been a fluke.

Basically the players need a rocket up their collective arse and soon. The attitude of the whole club seems to have been "let's ignore relegation and maybe it will go away" for far too long now

We've more bullshit today....Jamie Vincent saying we're the best team down among te dead men...no Jamie if that was the case we'd have beaten Yeovil and Crewe.
Then Simon Cox saying how hard it is to win at Brighton, because it's horrible there..and so you've got to battle and can't play football.
This would explain the worst home record in the div then.
For me we've had this dodgy mindset all season...R4E is spot on, it's just I fear now is too late for grinding out a 1-0, with a goal from a centre half, by a miskick in the 87th minute.

I've never said half of that at all. Of course Leicester are on poor form and have been for the last 2 months by their standards and seeing Carlisle going to the Walkers raising their game and getting a draw was no surprise. Of course 'on paper' means looking at it logically but we all know football doesnt work logically. We still wont fucking beat Brighton though. Still stands we've got a decent run in.... Out of that list only Brighton have beaten us this season.

If we match the 6 points from those 5 games in the reverse fixtures it might be enough to stay up....wouldn't bank on it mind as it's starting to look like a 52, or even 53 point job. Looking at the relative run ins, I'd say it will be us and HPool that drop..thus giving Wilson the notable achievement of managing 2 relegated clubs in the same season. Probably not done since Billy McNeil took down Villa and Man City from the top flight.
