No English band has ever did psychedelia better than The Beatles....well Hawkwind, had a sort of sledgehammer approach, not to be sniffed at...

Pissed, High or just chilled. Try this. Tangerine Dream Awesomely good - Stratosfear is a brilliant album. '3am At The Border Of The Marsh From Okefenokee' always spooked me out. And no, I wasn't on drugs at the time either.

Can we rename this the Afghan coat wearing thread. Ooh I had an Afghan coat...fucking ace it was...bought it in Kensington market, walked out wearing it and was promptly shoved up against the wall by the Met Drug squad. My crime wearing an offensive coat...

The ninth wave i reckon was her peak, you really have to take some acid turn the lights off and put some fuck off big headphones on to truely apreciate it. This is a snippet of it, it starts off like your usual ballad and for those of you who have never heard it, listen to the first 30 seconds and try and guess what happens by the end of 6 minutes. bet you cant. arrangment and production is truely amazing.

Dark Side of the Moon, Kid A. Burial, Four Tet and Aphex Twin all spring to mind.
