Music for Bond, James Bond.

Love him or hate him, he has had some outstanding intro tunes and soundtracks. What are your favourites.

Here's mine for starters.

I have a Bond track CD.  I am ready for the abuse.

I've never been able to put my finger on what it is, but there is definitely a Bond sound when it comes to title tracks.  It's something to do with the way the music is written...intervals etc.  I remember listening to the Sheryl Crow effort in the late 1990s and thinking 'that's got to be for a Bond film' even before I knew the film was coming out.

A View To A Kill has to be the best Bond film theme music.

Go Barbarella...

Trivia question, why was Shena Easton unique as a Bond singer?

Tom Jones is known for breaking microphones, listen from 2.15 to 2.24.  You need thunderballs to sing that.

Is she the one who's actually in the opening credits bit singing it? I think it's one of my least seen bond films to be honest.

No Carly Simon yet? Weak Tef, weak.

still one of my favourite bond films and a classic tune, although Live and let die is the best tune.
