Can't wait!
I'll wake up and realise there's no football until the beginning of August.
We can all spend the intervening weeks either bigger up our chances of promotion, or moaning about how our board won't spend, Wilson's not buying the right players, Coxy's sold for too little, we've still got players we should have got rid of, etc, etc, etc.
Gazza will go into a deep freeze for a few months, Bart will start to frantically look for other outlets for his negative and boring comments, TalkTalk will spend his time organising militant anarchist action, Fred will get drunk at every available opportunity (And not realise the season's over until mid July) Lumps will finally finish his masterpiece: 'The Communist Manifesto Part II', Ben will get drunk at every opportunity (And not realise the season's over until May 2014) Chubbs will hold us mesmerised with tales of owning his own house, Bennett will finally get his dream job as a lookalikey for Stephen Merchant, DRS will appear on Dragons Den with his brand new invention: a wonderbra for his arse cleavage, Ironside will finally get his dream job as an officer for The Comission For Racial Equality..........So much to look forward to.

At least we will get a few players in and out to keep us amused, unlike last summer.

Certainly there will be a few going out, our track record on getting them in is not 100% though is it!

There are no summer footy tournaments this year though to cure the boredom!

They should move all internationals to the end of the season and have qualifying tournamants in odd years, the proper tournanment in even years. shorten the premier league season after removing the international dates
jobs a good un

There's the under 21 Euro championship which might be worth watching, looks like we'll be sending a pretty strong team to it - Walcott for example.

Self denial is a terrible thing. Embrace your Merchantness. (Have you got a mate called Barry?)

I generally prefer the close season these days...I think you can get football overkill, so a break is good. And there's always Gazza's TEF BBQ to look forward to...
