If somebody in Europe wants to ring my mobile telephone do they need to put any code in front of the number? Thanks in advance for any help

Are they on a UK mobile? If so no, otherwise yes, 44.

Does the 44 replace the 0 at the beginning?

I always put number on my mobile in international format, so my UK numbers all start with +44 rather than 0. Advantage of doing this is that no matter where you are in the world the number will work.
