Following on from all the other threads, what's your favourite guitar riif(s)?

I'll start with two of my faves.

Both the intro riff and verse riff...

(Has to be the live version, the album version is shit)

All of it, it's just one big continuous riff.

And this one I've linked the MP3 instead of Youtube because the quality doesn't come across well. Click the little icon in the top right, not the Youtube video.

From 0:18 to 0:27 - only 9 seconds long but my favourite riff ever.

I was thinking of this thread too, but didn't because there are loads of great tunes without guitar solos but riffs are so integral that pretty much any great guitar based song has a good riff.

But I suppose you can pick a few...

EDIT - wait I'm tidying this up

Fixed. Cheers Ben.

Wonderwall also came to mind but I'm not posting that cos everyone's heard it a million times.

The Clash - Should I Stay or Should I Go is quite a good one.

Blur - Song 2 is another reasonably obvious choice of a big killer riff.. in the same vein you could mention Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Cigarettes and Alcohol is a great riff.

Django Reinhardt (his band was the blueprint for modern rock bands, multiple guitars had not been used before).

Otherwise, Dire Straits, Sultans of Swing, Knopfler
