Italy vs France Poor game, but I'm not sure we were expecting much from there any way. The way Parisi stands out for Italy is almost embarrassing. They have had such a poor tournament...but the fans are still turning out for them so I hope they turn things around for the good of the tournament. (The Netherlands were nearly given the nod to take the 6th place when the Five Nations became the Six Nations in 2000. I wonder how they might have fared.)
England vs Scotland This game is an annual event in our house. I'm optimistic but, like STFC, never underestimate England's ability to not turn up. I'm still scarred from my stag weekend experience of 3 years ago when I took 20 mates to Forest vs Town (we all remember what happened) and then retired to a city centre pub to watch Scotland beat us easily.
They've not beaten us at Twickenham for a while though, and can't see it happening today either. I'm looking out for Ugo Monye who's going to become a key player before long. And discipline is key. (My wife's theory is that Martin Johnson never had the best disciplinary record as a player and it's showing in the team he manages now. But she hates anyone or anything to do with England team.)
Wales vs Ireland The big one...you could not ask for a more finely balanced final game. Either team could take it, but I'm right behind Ireland for this one. First Grand Slam since 1948 on the cards. I'd love to see them do it.

(I don't care if this is just a one man thread!)
Ugo Monye...you beauty. Stops a Scotland try 10 mins ago and then scores one of his own. Poor start by England, but we have the lead. Parallels with Town by the sounds of it.

Super ending, particularly as a couple of the people I was watching it with were Welsh.

What sort of side would the Dutch have put out?
I am guessing that they would attempt to play total rugby, with the big gorillas inter-changing with the skinny little ones mid-play. Whether this would work or not I really could not say.
I'd also be very interested in learning how a Brasilian rugger side would play.

The last game i remember between England and the Netherlands ended up about 105-0. I don't know if they've got any better?

Yeah the dutch rugby team aren't very good.
We should be able to put out a decent lions team. Names that immediately come to mind are Heaslip, S. Williams, O'Driscoll...
English players who might be in with a shout - D. Armitage, Sheridan (on past form, maybe hasn't been that good this season), Worsley...
