Kept us in the game yesterday - solid performance and several very good saves. As an antidote to the divvies who apparently txted Radio Swindon yesterday despite obviously not being at the match to say he was rubbish and was why we lost  Roll Eyes

I didnt text, but one good game from Smith doesn't make up all those fumbles this season.
He is a decent shot-stopper but not good enough for Div 1.

No it doesn't but as I understand it people were texting in specifically saying that Smith lost us the game yesterday. Which he manifestly didn't and as I say repeatedly kept us in it. I was just talking about yesterday's game and how some of those texting in to RS are apparently so anti one of our own players they think it's reasonable to text this kind of shit in even though they clearly don't have a clue how he played yesterday. He played well, credit where it's due.

I'm glad to hear that Phil Smith had a good game, even the commentators on the radio, were wishing
him good luck.As to the texters, they were split 50/50 whether he shoud be starting. There were some
pretty poor texts before the game, one saying that with Smithy back we'd lose by seven!

I expect the same people text in tuesday saying we should drop Brez

I wish Phil Smith the best of luck for the rest of the season both for us as a team and him personally.

Smithy did nothing wrong yesterday.  How quickly do people forget he was the main keeper when we got out of league two and back into league one?  What I don't get is this fricking Brez fan club (mainly the texters tbh).  I rated him at first yes but over time its evident hes a bit shit.  If I had to ship one out, it would be Brez and bring in a new keeper with Smithy as a back up.

That was me and John, in what way was it hypocritical? I would describe it as 'supportive'.

How dare you. Didn't you know you were supposed to boo and shout abuse instead?
