......The Hoople albums. Apparently they were quite good, but I've only ever heard their cover of Bowie's 'All The Young Dudes'.

I think that maybe the only Mott the Hoople song I've ever heard too.

 An interesting band, who I think I saw at McIlroys about 1970...although it might have been Devizes...

 They had a good sound, a reasonable look, but not much decent material, so they did quite a few covers of slightly obscure stuff....

 The sort of band you wanted to be good, but they just were really Div 3....nothing particularly wrong with that if you accept your lot humbly...but I think they fancied real pop star status.
