why do we constantly struggle to bring in new players? it's very worrying, brighton have been signing players as have crewe so why can't we?
1st post for Pride of Wilts and he/she asks the same question many of us have been asking all season.  I am convinced it is the reluctance to deal with agents, although there are stats that disprove my theory!  Perhaps they read Over The Hill's fuck off post!

Maybe because players get better offers? Let's face it we've been shit for years & our reputation proceeds us.

may as well play Morrison at CB and put Ifil in midfield otherwise Allen and Timlin will just get overrun like Cheltenham Kids did to them on Tuesday.

I think a punt of Jack Smith in centre-mid might work, best passer in the club.Alongside him I would play Easton.

Easton is still injured from the reserve game against Bournemouth.

I have a feeling we might see Jack Smith in midfield as well. Didnt Iffy play him there once before?

David Noble would be a mint signing. Think he's well out of favour at City as well, only question is does he fancy a relegation battle?

Simon Walton is a massive-time. No thanks.

I thought Summerfield was still getting games at Plymouth so that one might be wide of the mark.

Maclean scores goals in this league, but might be a bit similar to Cox?

Don't know why I'm writing all this to be honest because we haven't signed any of them.

I recon smith could do the job in midfield,if he was on the wing, stick amankwaah in the centre - dont know who would play right back though, take a punt at kennedy or vincent even though their both left footed...unless we start with mcnamee and kanu,in which case amanwaah would sit in midfield and the back four would be unchanged. we'll see tomorrow.

Only one problem with Amankwaah in midfield and that is he can't tackle. At rightback he is gash, too gangly legged and gets turned.  As a winger he's leet link up play is good etc etc.

Jack Smith would be a terrible choice in midfield.  Timlin is a 5ft nothing & so is Smith what chance do they stand against 6ft odd Franchise players.

Allen is has the same problem.

Lets prey that Franchise are full of midgets so we can see some midget wrestling on the pitch tomorrow

Hopefully that's tongue in cheek, as that is the worst idea i've ever seen since someone suggested taking a big horse into the city!

Hmm..Early city's were littered with horses,so my idea is destined to become mechanical eventually (like cities) so it'l probably allow us to do great things.

but no it wasnt tongue in cheek,it was just the only thing i could think of at the time of posting, because i cant see any other way around having only shit midfielders avaliable to play. i can see where the stupidity in the idea is though... Oops
