It took them ages to get out of Div3 when we were down there with them, and every year they spent loads of money and it got them nowhere (for a while at least.) Like a slightly more successful Bristol City.

My thoughts exactly. FWIW, I totally agree with your post about them being City-esque. Can't say I particularly resent them for it though. I would....but Stoke, Reading, Fulham and possibly others have climbed to the Premiership following similar paths. It's too much work to hate them all. |

I'm ambivalent about Hull...I like the way their fans wind up the scummers, when a few e years back and in the same league...they were giving them the old we'll win the league by Christmas bit. They like to remind them of what really happened..
Also we've a decent record against them..
They did get uber fortunate in getting money from KC Communications and finding shed loads of glory hunters, which is a downside..
Also they've given Jimmy Bullard a 4 year conract on 40K a week and he's fucked, and so might they be.....fully expect them to fall away back down to L2 now, just hope we'renot still there in 4 years time.

Quite similar to us giving out massive, long contracts....I think they're down this year and won't go back up any time soon |
