Suprised Steve hasn't posted this already! Dreading this really, I can't see us getting much, even a point won't feel like enough after tuesdays deflated feeling. Plus I don't think we have a very good recent record at Prenton Park. Tranmere win, 2-0.

One of my favourite footballing experiences happened at Prenton Park, brilliant night.  Can't believe it was so long ago.

Think we may get beat today though 2-0.

I'm quite looking forward to this for some strange reason. Probably because I'm still pissed from last night.

Have we beat any team home and away this season?

No, although Oldham failed to score against us on two occasions.

Quite. I'm not going and I'm also not around to listen to it on the radio, so fuck it, 6-0  town and by the time I find out the real score I'll be half cut and won't care as much.

We could very easily be 22nd tonight....which will be a psychological blow. Have we the players mentally strong enough to recover from that....judging by Tuesday, not.

That was a golden opportunity to reverse our gradual slump...anything other than a win today, and it's Herthab to Morecambe.

A TEF day out in Burton might be interesting mind.

Oh come on!! If we lose today we'll probably beat Cheltenham Tuesday.

Yes we have been lacklustre on many occasions this season but that was mostly under Malpas.

If we hadn't had that penalty that should never have been given against us Tuesday we'd be what, 6 unbeaten?

PLUS - the teams below us are mostly shit, aren't they?

We've been lacklustre all season whether under MM DB or DW, mainly because we haven't many good players with a will to win...each of the managers has tinkered in their own way to try and make something from what we've got, but the underlying problems of conceding poor goals at home and an inability to see out games hasn't been resolved.

It wont be so much the consequence of losing today, but the consequence of dropping into the bottom 4, that is going to ask big questions of our players...I just don't see the mental strength to provide the answers.

I'm more inclined to think we'll pick something up today than Tuesday!

Yes they are the worst team in the league, but it doesn't matter how bad Cheltenham are, we always seem to struggle against them.

Theres a lot of truth in what you say. But if you take our last 5 games we definitely haven't been totally crap or mentally weak - we've drawn away to Leicester, Millwall and Oldham which definitely aren't easy places to get results and not bad considering the difference in our league position. We also came from 2 nil behind to win 4 -2. Yes they were down to 9 men but obviously they defended deep and we still had to score those goals (4 in 30mins).

But whilst you're being overly pessimistic imo I agree our main problems have been basically 1. not being good enough at home and 2. conceding late goals.

We can still make the play-offs.
