Interesting fact for you: Alan Fettis was goalkeeping coach and chief scout. And their only scout.

They're in shit. Rumour is that Martin Allen has fucked a lot of it up by bringing in loan players on high wages. He fell out with their director who was worth 900 million and who in turn left the board a few months back. They get shit crowds so it doesn't surprise me. Good time to happen though if the rumour is true as we play them next week. After that i wish them luck.

Although we haven't done well against them in the last few meetings you would think we should get a result Tuesday.
I mean if we can't beat them or at the very least draw at the county ground, when they're in the relegation zone (and bottom?) and about to go into administration then when can we beat them?

Losing the rich guy has ruined them. Martin Allen hasn't helped - I'm suprised people wanted him here.

FROM WDP
Cheltenham Town will consider offers for any of their players as the club's cash crisis continues. Midfielder Alex Russell, the team's leading assist maker, left to join Exeter City on loan yesterday. With the club seemingly in financial dire-straits, goalkeeping coach and chief scout Alan Fettis has also lost his job, while boss Martin Allen will be without an assistant as John Brough returns to being youth team manager. Russell's move to League Two Exeter will become permanent in the summer and he is unlikely to be the last key player to depart the financially stricken club. "Any approaches will be considered because we have to cut the wage bill," Allen said. "Letting Alex go was not my decision, but if clubs come in for players, the finances are the most important thing at the moment because bills have to be paid. It's out of my hands and I have to respect the financial position the club is in." Fettis joined the club last August as a goalkeeping coach and he took on the role of chief scout in November, helping Allen identify potential signings for next season and compiling reports on opposition teams. "Alan done a sterling job with (goalkeeper) Scott Brown and he has adapted very well to his scouting position," Allen said. "The scouting network has had to be disbanded and Alan has left in another cost-cutting measure. The current economic climate, which we read about every day, is affecting us." Brough had been assisting Allen since Bob Bloomer left after 17 years' service in January. The club receive a grant to pay the wages of a youth team manager, but they must be fully qualified so Brough will resume his duties with the Under-18 side. "We can't afford to bring in a new youth team manager," Allen said. "I will have to go it alone now because I need players to concentrate on their performances. I will work on my own with the players." Allen has pleaded with fans to keep backing his players, who are without a win in 13 matches and have lost their last six. "I can understand the fans' frustrations because they work hard for their money and are entitled to their opinion," Allen said. "But I think they have a good understanding of what's been happening and how tight it is financially."

It's that time of season when clubs start weighing up league position compared to finances, i would expect another 4 or 5 teams to be pondering the same thing as Cheltenham and darlo at the moment.
