Is in line for Goal Of The Week on Sky.

Quite right too, it was a stunning strike.

Was it a lot better than Cox's last goal at the county ground?

Different goals. The lad smacked it and it flew in. I personally feel it was one of those that 9 times out of 10 would end up in row Z, but that may be unfair on him.

Cox's, as you know, was pure skill and vision. Knew the keeper was off his line , controlled on the volley and chip. Pure class and a better goal for me.

If there can be such a thing it was a bog standard top corner 30 yarder, just a good hit, cox's had guile as well as accuracy, no contest!

I have spoken to a few people to canvas opinion, and can officially state now that Cox's goal is the best goal ever scored at the County Ground.

The Millwall one might possibly be the best ever scored at the New Den, though to be honest this is not a matter for me personally to report on.

Looking on the O/S there is a feature in tomorrows programme, on the top ten goals scored at the CG.

Fjortoft vs Millwall, LC Cup, 1995...that is the best, in my humble fucking opinion.

"The fluke", as Mick McCarthy described it at the time, was probably my favourite goal too.  Although I did love Coxy's the other week.

Isn't McCarthy still to show his arse in Burton's window?
