Has anyone here bothered to work out how many more points we would have had we not surrendered leads in say the last 10 minutes?
Cue DV....

I just cant make my mind up on Paynter.
Sometimes he is well lazy. Sometimes I think he is excellent.

Everyone agreed that Wilson's first task was to improve the defending in the side. He's done that and some;no coincidence that Brez is back to very near his best when Smithy,Ifil,Greer and Vincent are so solid in front of him.His tactics for away games against top opposition are spot on,now we have to address the home form.Iagree with Juddie that Amankwah is probably not the man to play at home but I cant agree about the Kanu/McNamee question.I have now seen him at Oldham and last night and frankly I dont think he offers us anything that Mac,on form, cant do better.I know he's not the most popular player on here but I still think he is a must at home-he's quicker, goes by players better and can give quality crosses, things that Kanu hasn't done at all in the 2 games I've seen him.If Kanu is to play on sat I'd like to see him on the right hand side and Macca on the left. Back to last nights game,I like the way we have brought more short passing into our game-dont think Jack Smith wasted a ball last night and Timlin, though not great,is the best passer of a ball we have.Best moment when Ifil did a superb Cruyff turn on the edge of our box in a one on one situation, left the forward for dead then sliced the ball into the crowd under no pressure-some things even DW cant change!First class Town support-even the "sit downers" made some noise!

We all knew it was coming! To be fair, the defence looked solid yesterday and did try to pass teh ball out once again. Millwall made it hard for us though

That's it in a nutshell. Kanu..I dont think he offers us anything that Mac,on form, cant do better
Kanu reminds me of Monkhouse. I think he offers a bit more physical presence than MacNamee, a bit more hight (obviously). But in terms of skill/delivery McNamee on form looks the better player.

and that's the problem, mcnamee is one game in four. We can't afford that. Kanu isn't as skillful but does have pace and skill, and away from home he gets stuck in, morw of a team player.
I love watching mcnamee when he's on fire, but it's too little too often.
In saying that, I was mesmerized watching him at half time last night, awesome skill-fest.
