I'm not getting too carried away, it was a good yet unspectacular performance.

Brez - 7 - Pulled off a few great reflex saves but kicking still lacks woefully and is still unsure when coming for crosses.
Amankwaah - 7 - A very assured performance. Showed some nice touches to beat his man a couple of times. Seems to be brimming with confidence at the moment and long may it continue.
Ifil - 6 - Nothing brilliant, kept Hughes quiet.
Greer - 6 - See Ifil.
Vincent 6 - Steady eddie. Distribution was a bit poor, but that's always the case with Vincent really.
Robson-Kanu - 5 - Quite poor by the showing he gave on Tuesday. Can't remember him making a run at the fullback at all.
Kanyuka - 8 - MOTM. You've got to give it to Wilson, playing Kanyuka in centre mid was a piece of tactical genius. He stuck himself on their no. 7 and didn't move more than 3 yards away from him for the whole of the first half. Tackled well, won headers in midfield and generally broke up the play well and laid the simple ball to Allen.
Allen - 7 - Proved that with a tough tackling player next to him he can be quite an asset. Didn't really pick too many telling passes but was always in space and looking for the ball. Was box-to-box for the whole game and seems full of energy.
McGovern - 4 - Very poor. Just didn't seem to read the game at all. Went straight down the tunnell at full time and was the only Swindon player not to come over and clap the fans. I think he realised he had a bad game.
Paynter - 5 - Still seems off the pace a bit. Had the touch of a rapist and couldn't control the ball. If I were picking the team, I'd start Razak over him on Tuesday.
Cox - 6 - A steady performance. Nothing brilliant and can't actually remember him having a shot all game.

Razak - 7 - All effort and endeavour. Tended to lead in to headers with his fists and elbows. His scissor kick was immense and took a brilliant save from the keeper to stop it.

I did some in depth investigative work a month or so ago and whilst my findings were inconclusive, they did lean towards us not having paid any money for young Casal.

Perhaps this query is one that can be put to Nick Watkins via his email address?

Both good news imho.

Peacock is not a good midfielder.

I aid to Sam on the way up yesterday that what we needed in the centre of midfield was a creative player and a player who could break up play, tackle tough and feed the other CM.

Early days I know, but the signs were there yesterday that big Pat and little Chrissy could become an effective partnership.

Kanuyka showed what we've been missing, an effective, no nonense ball winner.

Brez 9;would have been 10 if his kicking was any good
Amankwaah 7;very few errors part of a solid back 4
Ifil 8;I thought he had a very good afternoon
Greer 8;Solid and confident, but should have scored.Has the weirdest looking legs I've ever seen on a footballer, looks like his left should be his right and vice versa.Seriously though well worth trying to get him permanently
Vincent 8;Had to cope with Oldham's best player and did it well
Kanu 4;biggest disappointment of the day,was expecting better after reports of tuesday
Kanyuka 7;looked far better than anyone who has played centre mid this season
Allen6;industrious,won some great tackles but not really creative,we still lcked ideas in the middle of the park
McGovern 4;poor passing, woeful crossing and looked dead beat with 20 to go
Paynter 5;actually won a couple of headers but as Samdy said, first touch was awful however unlucky with a great curling effort which the keeper saved well
Cox 5;sorry to say it but today looked as if he'd already decided he was on his way
Razak 4;a complete joke,apart from the volley looked a total amateur.Entertaining though1
McNamee 5;slight improvement on Kanu-put in one superb cross which we could have scored from
Easton 6;did himself a few favours with an all-action display.Showed the sort of desire we've been lacking
