Looks to me that there is an element of truth in this....namely I think our owners soon came to realise the scale of the problems at the club, and so went for keeping us alive rather than, kicking on.

If there is any truth in it - and I am not judging anybody or anything - makes you wonder how much backing Danny Wilson is going to get? Is that a reason we are not very active in the transfer window?

He applies for every job going saying how "INSERT NAME HERE is the sort of team I can relate to" etc Walsall, Crewe and Now Inverness. He may actually get the Inverness job though as they are bottom of the SPL.

I think we've been told how much backing DW will get, namely a couple of French trialists. It was mentioned we should not expect any players we'd heard of...

I hope the prick never gets another job in football ever, in all honesty.
There's no way in a million years it was 50/50, he clearly got the bullet and not before time. So long you jock cunt.

Anyone who knows their STFC can tell you that we lose to a non league side every decade, so MM joins Bert Head, Danny Williams, Lou Macari and Steve McMahon in that. Of course all those others won something with the us....the league form was just turning round, under MM, and since his departure we've got infinitely worse. With MM 16 points from 14 games, without 8 points from 11 games. I'm not suggesting MM was a great manager, just that he may be speaking truthfully, in saying he expected more backing.

Changing goalposts? I think he is on about the cup run.
Let's face it Maurice, the cups were a necessity because we were doing so shit in the league.

we'd just hit our best league form when he was sacked and we've not been any better since then....

After what, a whole year? He had a decent amount of time and we didn't improve - in fact we got worse. I didn't do the paint pot game, but if it was as bad as Histon was then it's little wonder he got sacked.

Are some people suggesting that he should not of been sacked? It kinda sounds that way. We have got drastically worse since he left but thats the board fault for taking their time with the new aoppointment. Also our defences fault for thinking the our games had finished 2 minutes before the ref blew his whistle. The man had to go.

He moved the goalposts more times than anybody...maybe deciding and sticking with the best one between ours would have helped his cause...and ours...when Smith was doing more flapping than a bird in an aeroplane engine v Leeds etc it was his decisions not Fittons and co.

Trouble is our best has also been shit this season. I'd say the only thing Malpas got right was getting the best out of the front two.
