Christ Alive.

Episode 3 of the new series is blinding.

The red head FBI agent is top notch as well.

All in all, I am rating this as the best ever start to a series of 24.

The Writers Strike has served us very well here.

I haven't watched it in years. I last saw it the series that ended with Jack somehow surviving a nuclear blast and a fall from an aircraft. I forget the detail but it seemed so outrageously unlikely I never bothered going back to it.

It was also getting on my tits that they were continuing painting Jack as a conventional hero rather than biting the bullet and colouring him a bit darker. There were too many episodes where he would interrogate a suspect and have to do some smart arse fakery to make it look like someone else was getting tortured or executed out of hand, because of course CTU couldn't really torture people
