The way I see things, Wilson has two jobs this season:

(1) Keep us up; and
(2) Start to rebuild the squad.

It's important he starts (2) during the course of this season because, if we are going to have a tilt at making the play offs in 2009-10, I doubt he will have time to complete the clear out in the summer.

To that end, I would hope that the first stage is to assess his current players fully.  Malpas never got the best out of Corr in my view - but we all know Malpas fell short as a manager.  I hope Wilson really gives Barry a chance.  I'd love to see him respond and do well.

Maybe he'll even get a run out tonight?

If he proves me wrong, i'll be chuffed... but i'm worried he'll be useless.

He rarely stays on his feet
He never seems to jump
He spends more time arguing with the ref than playing the game
He's too injury prone.

Ship him out.

For the first 3 out of 4 there & I thought you were talking about Paynter.

It was only the injury prone comment that put me off.
Paynter doesn't get injured, doesn't put in enough effort to get injured   Wink

Do you reckon there's a bloke there with a switch that he sometimes forgets to flip?

Fingers crossed indeed.  Saturday was going to be my second game of the season.  The least I deserve is a free match commentary.
