A big improvement on the last couple of months today mainly due to organisation and having some kind of game plan. It's obvious we need a dominating centre back, a play making midfielder and maybe some pace or physical presence up front though.
Positives, Brez generally did ok a few good saves and is starting to catch crosses again, Ifil is starting to do the the simple stuff again and so is looking decent again, Easton had his best game of the season, McGovern is starting to win me round and that last ditch challenge he did was brilliant and stopped a certain goal.
Negatives well I think time is sadly up for Corr we can't afford to waste wages on him, Cox desperately needs a goal, Timlin had a mare and worst of all was Kanyuka who is an utter waste of space and I'd be happy never to see him play again he's just an utter donkey. Fucked up on the half way line for their goal then got himself booked trying to claim to the ref he was fouled. He let them in time and time again with his stupid errors.
I felt abit sorry for Timlin to be honest as not only did he have to cover for McNamee's lack of defensive ability he also had to worry about what mistake Kanyuka would make next.
I'll take the point and with a few new players we're capable of staying up.

Okish game. We looked more confident and put quite a few passes together but no finishing product. Corr surly has to be done now. I think almost everyone knew Corr had dislocated his shoulder when he went down. Its clearly an injury he is going to keep getting and is never going to be able to have a full career etc. He will always dislcate his shoulder.
Thought Smith was ok as was Macca, lets step overs and just worked his bollocks off., Peacock and Timlin were pants,
Sturrock is one of our most under rated players I think, have done for a while. There keeper was fantastic!

Just got back! thought it was a bit of a mixed bag. One thing I can say is its probably the least entertaining town side i have seen in a long time which I could stomach if we were winning, but we are not! Defence is looking very shakey, too much ball watchng/slipping over/not communicating. Midfield looked very lightweight although at least were passing a little better. Cox looked frustrated and a little off the pace. All in all DW has a hell of a lot of work to do and im starting to believe that maybe the problem is the playing staff rather then the coaching/management staff!

What is it with players slipping over, I've noticed a lot in a fair few games. Does triseros cover the pitch in lard before the game?

Did I go to a different game?
I thought that was one of their best performances at home this season, in the top 4 at least. I think everyone is forgetting just how bad they've played in other games. Passes were generally reaching their target, there was good movement, some nice moves, plenty of chances, the keeper was distributing the ball well and so on.
Stockport are 7th in the league and we matched them, more than matched them actually as we should have won it and I'm sure they'll be happy with a point. Still plenty of room for improvement, but it was a lot better on the whole.

did anyone notice that the Stockport keeper took 95% off his goal kicks in the centre of the 6 yard box.

yes i noticed this also
to elaborate- he did it all game to confuse us on how to set up. they had more pace the more space they had from goal kicks would've allowed them to run with the ball into space.

I'm a bit happier for the future.
Stockports number 7 was fucking ace, no way Timlin should have kept giving him the freedom of the pitch. Work to be done but already signs that good football and more organisation are being thumped into the players.

Good reviews fellas, cheers. Another 200 mile round trip I'm glad I couldn't be arsed to do. The greyhound racing was quite exciting.

For me a draw at home can't be a point gained, not on most occasions anyway. Disappointed, again, leaving the cg last night. The match quality (from our point of view) was limited, on too many occasions a few minutes of okay football was ruined by awful individual mistakes.
What was going on with the subsititute selection? Awful, Paynter should have been on the bench at least did no one tell DW that Barry's shoulder is made of glass? How the hell did LP stay on the pitch for the full 90. Did he just have the last two weeks off? After two weeks of trainin fitness should have been spot on, Peacock looked completely out of sorts. If that's the effect on a mid season break hope the FL never implement it!!
Oh and there number 7 was ace, surprised we didn't do anything to stop his effectiveness, cos he run the show for them.
Don't get me wrong there were signs of improvement but not quite as much as I'd hoped for, still looked like a MM/DB team to me. Saturday's result will be interesting to see on Saturday.

It's odd. I've defended LP on numerous occasions saying how his high energy levels compensate for his limited skill. These last couple of games his workrate seems to have dropped off and he has been totally ineffective. Maybe time for a 'rest'.
