ive tried your solution, and it still says the driver is missing or coruppt or reconnection and reboot.

It even says the driver software is up to date?Huh?

Where the fuck can i download my drivers?

Manufacturers website. I'm guessing you had XP originally and upgraded to Vista, it would seem that the driver you have is not compatible with Vista. If you can't get one from the manufacturers website then you're pretty much fucked.

I've been running W7 for a while now magic, it's good put obviously has driver issues at the moment because it's only a dev copy.

The official beta was released two days ago which I'm yet to try because the download speeds have been pitifully slow (<100kbs) and it's a 2.6GB file.

mmm very odd.

ive done a system restore to a date in december and they drives are back there.

anyone know any reason why that has happened?

ive been running vista for a year at least and this is the first time the problem has occurred..

Obviously something you've installed since December has knocked out your device drivers for your drive then. It should be a process of elimination by comparing what you installed since the restore date.
