My desktop PC has the aids i reckon. Its saying i have no dvd drive installed, and i have 6 removable disks?!?!?

Any ideas what could have caused this?

1. Out of date/corrupt driver. Does the drive show up in Device Manager?

uninstall the drivers......power down and unplug them totally.....power up so the pc recognises they arent there.....power down......plug them back in.....power up and Vista SHOULD recognise them and install then again for you automatically mate.

It's easy fella. Just take the side of the case off and unplug the connectors from the back of the drives. Make sure you ground yourself by touching a door handle or something first. And make sure your power supply is switched off/unplugged.
