The "excitement" was related to what Wilson said during the phone in, he wants to entertain the crowd, he wants to see smiles on the faces of the fans, he wants enjoyment all round.  I was just saying that on the back of that the footie needs to be a lot more riveting that the phone in.

As I've said before I don't agree with the don't want entertainment just want three points mind set but understand why some people do.

See what you're saying Jan and of course I'd like to be entertained by attractive football, but if it's a choice between that or three points, I'd go for three points. (Although both would be the ideal!)

If we really need the points I want the points, but I really hope DW pulls this off and provides us with decent entertaining winning footie.

Seems like a Yarg man to me.

I'm not really one for cheese, but I did get to visit the farm where Yarg is made once.  Or rather, was made, as my Cornish dairy sources tell me that production has since been moved to a shiny, new fangled place.  Anyway, on a different trip, I preferred the Guinness brewery.

We also went to see the Eden Project, the beach and a completely ruined castle.  No wonder they're skint in Cornwall if they can't be arsed to look after stuff.

That was a question in 90minutes magazine when we played QPR away in the cup.

Would you prefer attractive football or the right result?

I was in there and i was 15. Funny how that triggered a lost memory.

Obviously i said the result, everyone would, wouldnt they?

He didnt give much away did Danny but he has only been here 5 minutes and has seen one match.

He is keeping his cards close to chest and I expect its different coming into manage a team in the bottom 5 than it is taking over a top of league team like Sturrock did.

Im certainly not going to judge him on a radio interview after being here a few weeks. I hope the mongs dont either.

He was always going to give stock answers wasn't he? I don't think he'd come out and slate everyone in sight, it's counter productive.

I can see where Jan is coming from, he seems a safe pair of hands rather than spectacular.

That'll do me really, my expectations are a successful fight against relegation, then a slow build over the next season or two before becoming playoff challengers. If he exceeds those expectations then great.

I agree thought he came across well and get bored with people making the Sturrock comparison as Sturrock really wasn't that good.

Sturrock hardly set the world alight with scintilating football did he. He couldn't get his teams to play against the "lesser" teams, remember the defeats against Macclesfield, Barnet, Mansfield etc
Good luck to Dannyboy, and lets have some entertainment at last.

No one's said Sturrock was that great it's just that during his time here he was pretty open with his thoughts, which was a refreshing change - for example his thoughts on Ricky Shakes was pretty obvious from some of his post match and fans forum talks.  Wilson is a lot more guarded.  That's it, no big issue.

I'd like to think DW has enough on his plate trying to sort our team out than giving award-winning interviews. I spoke to him for the matchday programme tomorrow and I found him erudite, a man who knows what he wants, how to get it and won't take any shit in doing it.

Exactly what we need.
