Don't get me wrong Sussex he said nothing wrong, but I just didn't hear anything to think "brillliant, I see this bloke making his mark and taking us forward".

I remember when Sturrock came here, he said Dennis Wise had called telling him the first name on his team sheet was Monkhouse (I think it was AM), and PS said, "well he isn't the first name on mine" and impied that was the phone call over.  He came in made his mark, changed the backroom staff etc.  MM and DW to a certain extent haven't done that, they've come in all nice and politely and not stood up and said, right this is the way we do things.

DW in the interview on one hand was saying how he's relying upon DB and AW on player assessments etc and yet when he was asked whether he's changed training much (a fair enough question) he answered "I don't know, as I'm not sure what training consisted of before I arrived here".  Why hasn't he asked DB and AW what's been going on for the last few months?  And if he has why not just tell us if he's changed things?  we don't need to know the detail but hearing that he's come in and started to do things differently would have been nice.

Put it this way Reg I won't be listening to the next one.

I hope his football is more entertaining than his phone ins!

I know what you're saying Jan, I just thought he said the right things, and right now I'd rip his left bollock off for that and hope he can back it up with some results. I probably didn't explain that very well.

Yeah that's fair enough, except not sure about ripping his left bollock off though.

He should've come in and stamped his authority on the place. Shown them all who actually is boss.

He should've had the balls to say that the players and staff aren't performing and something needs to be done. Stop pussy footing around!!

I think he is saying all the right things to get the confidence back on the team. If we don't get that back soon then we will go down.

We don't have the resources for a complete clean sweep of the team and that would certainly be a stupid thing to in January anyway. Post-season is the time for more radical changes.

He is pretty much saying everything that Malpas did except when Wilson says it it sounds like he believes it. The phone is was pretty boring to be honest and rabitted on for about 10 minutes after every phone call, email, text etc saying "well lets see what happens, we need a bit of self belief and if the players we want are available we will definately be interested" fair play he didnt commit to anything. I am happy DW is here but sort of like Jan Age, Can't say he got me excited or anything but I DO hope he does a good job.

Wilson also said Malpas fucked around with the tactics. Hopefully that means Wilson will be more astute in that area.

I don't expect, or want, to be excited by the manager talking on a radio show.

Nor do I want to be 'entertained' by a manager.

All I want is for the manager to get results. If he does, he can be as boring as he wants!

I don't want to be told made up stuff about football. I just want to know what his favourite cheese is.

Football is just a game, cheese is real.

The "excitement" was related to what Wilson said during the phone in, he wants to entertain the crowd, he wants to see smiles on the faces of the fans, he wants enjoyment all round.  I was just saying that on the back of that the footie needs to be a lot more riveting that the phone in.

As I've said before I don't agree with the don't want entertainment just want three points mind set but understand why some people do.
