...and they say the romance in football is dead. After 10 years as manager of a semi-professional club, Clough Jr. has taken over the reigns at Pride Park.
Call me a cynic and without thinking about it that much it seems to me that Derby are really scraping the barrell with this appointment.
Is this a good move or are they appointing the son of a man who brought success to Derby County? Nige is obviously a Forest favourite too.
Thoughts?

Me too, Mainly for the fact that the Forest or Burton jobs were pretty much always going to be there for Nigel to take over at some stage. I would say Nigel should have maybe went to a L1 side first to get a bit more experience. Maybe a heart over head appointment to get one up on Forest. The Derby/Forest cup match will have a bit extra spice now. Cloughie playing Forest Davies heading back to Derby Local derby (no pun intended)

Exactly, 10 years of hard work and just when it looked like promotion was near - he leaves! I wonder who will take the Burton job now because they are in a good position but need to be sensible in their next appointment.

John Ward will be the obvious name banded about.

Yup, because Nigel Clough was always a name mentioned and that he wanted to join us Jimmy Quinn is a good shout for a potential replacement at Burton.
