How will this affect the legendary Bromham FC?  He used to sponsor them (for years) didn't he.

A bad day for all involved at Jubilee Fields.

Come on you owls!

I see French Connection is in financial difficulty also...

Can't believe they thing that within the next year the total unemployment figure will be approx 3 million.  Makes you wonder how they can claw back from that....

I went to a 'Recession session' yesterday at uni. A staggering 13 people out of 400 showed up. Anyway. Current figures show 2.03 million unemployed (I'm not sure if those 'official' figures include those on job seekers) and a mere 428,000 jobs going (down from 504,000 last month). Chuck in 650,000 students graduating this summer, and, well...I hope my placement at easter goes well!

The 2.03 m is everyone on jobseekers.  the real figure including those inelligable for benifits and those on other benefits like disability allowance could be anywhere from 4-5m.  no-one really knows

Judging by the people out and about shopping in town centres on weekdays or sat in pubs outside of lunch hours i would say the 4-5m estimate was on the low side.

the only response i've had to job applications i've had for a couple of weeks (aside from automated responses via email) is for a job at the US embassy in oslo and another marketing job somewhere in oslo.

i've done this whole job hunting thing many times now and even searching half-arsed i've managed to find decent work. i can't find a bloody thing now.
