Wilson said we need confidence, got some good players and youth. Teams can mostly beat each other, similar, tight.  Wants to play good football. Use present squad. Backroom staff the same for now.

Well, everything he said was pretty much what I expected him to say. Really looking forward to the future now with him in charge.

Fitton:
- Xmas present on Xmas eve with Danny Wilson appointment
- Wilson's reputation goes before him
- Plays football that Swindon want to play
Wilson:
- Excited to take over
- Didn't take him long to make his mind up
- Knows alot about existing players due to playing against them
- Like most clubs in the league, STFC need consistency
- Lot of youngsters coming through
- Consistency comes through confidence. Wilson and staff's job to give players belief
- Today's game is a big one. Wilson is a realist. Ref league position: Lets see what happens
- Good win at LO
- Not many changes from LO game
- Want to excite people by having an attacking game
- Dont want a bland team. Put on a brand of football that all will enjoy
- Transfers: Fitton says 'Haven't spoken about money yet'
- Wilson: Maybe a fresh face or two, but doesnt want to get rid of anyone yet.
- League very tight apart from top 2-3
- Backroom staff remains same for foreseeable future
- Fitton: Fate dealt a hand in appointment. Realised that he was criticised by fans for taking so long. Was a 'no brainer' after talking to Wilson for 45 mins
- Wilson: Thinks there is lots of potential at club. Need to take time and build slowly.

In summary, not alot said. Wilson was careful not to promise anything nor to rule anything in or out. Sounded very corporate.

any half decent journo would have asked if he was sacked by hartlepool or walked out, bit disappointed with that.
Wilson talked well though but i wished hadwin had been asking the questions.
Looking forward to wilson's sytle of management and how he likes to play.
