I've only read this page and I'm clearly in the minority but we need to get rid of JPM-he may have worked hard but considering he is supposed to be a ball player, he gave the ball away far too often imo which he does every game..he is probably on a good wage and money would be better spent eslewhere.

Brez was at fault for the pen...he is 6ft 4" FFS and should have just wiped everyone out.

Felt sorry for Blair as thought he did a reasonable job as did Nalis.

Easton looks lost on the right....and in the centre for that matter!

Macca should have started.

Timlin....hmmm...lets move on shall we

Kanyuka shouldn't have played as clearly 2 games in 3 days took its toll.

cant be arsed writing anymore but there was me thinking we had a good enough squad for mid table pfft

Agree with most Jim....but i thaught JPM was our best player yesterday, was abit loose with his passing at times but his work rate and crossing were very good.

As I didn't go or listen to the match yesterday, I can't really comment at all on that, but hearing the result was very disappointing late last night.

One thing though. I'm glad to read (jimbob aside) that JPM is starting to put in a decent shift. I've never been a fan. Whenever I've watched him, he looked a liability - lazy, not prepared to tackle, track back or stay wide, not confident at beating his man. I've said it before, I thought of him as a poor man's Beckham (i.e. a one trick pony in terms of his delivery, but even that wasn't brilliant). I've long thought there was a decent player in there waiting to get out, and it sounds like he's finally starting to deliver. Good on him and long may it continue.

Shame that the other 10 on the pitch have decided to perform like wankers at the same time.......

-we looked nervous
-gave the ball away a fair bit
-only player that looked to put in any effort was JPM
-brighton had a plan and it worked a treat
-never felt so cold at a football match

I don't remember him giving it away much at all, because he had no service. He put a few telling crosses in but mostly had a quiet game.

Brez was at fault for the pen...he is 6ft 4" FFS and should have just wiped everyone out.

Yes Brez should've claimed it, but it was Timlin who should have stayed on his feet rather than go flying in.

Felt sorry for Blair as thought he did a reasonable job as did Nalis.

Agree with Blair, but Nalis was poor. Exactly the same as Orient, he started well and sprayed it about for about ten minutes but then the game just passed him by.

Easton looks lost on the right....and in the centre for that matter!

Completely disagree. I thought he was the only one out there who looked like he gave a shit. Was good with the ball at his feet and was nearly always the only player breaking into the box when the actually got the ball out wide.

Macca should have started.

No he shouldn't. If I see him do one more fucking step-over I'll stab the fucking cunt. He just needs to learn to put the ball into the box early. And towards the end he drifted inside and became completely ineffective.

Timlin....hmmm...lets move on shall we

Something I do actually agree with you on, he had a bad game by his standards. Missed most of his headers and his distribution was woeful.

Kanyuka shouldn't have played as clearly 2 games in 3 days took its toll.

He wasn't at his best, but I think you have to give credit to Forster who just turned him inside out.

I'd add that Peacock was fucking awful. As Fred said in the pub yesterday, he's the only footballer that actually shrinks as he goes up for a header. He can't head, can't pass and can't tackle.

- Front two were shit, in either combination.
- Midfield was shit, although better when Easton moved to the middle. Shame nobody made any movement for him so he could lay the ball off though. McGovern put in a good shift again.
- Back 5 wasn't as bad as it has been. Timlin had a mare but I think Brez is starting to grow in confidence. The problem yesterday was nobody in midfield apart from McGovern helped the defence out.

Overall it's hard to make any positive comments from such a poor display. The difference between yesterday and Boxing Day was the desire and passion to win.

I think it's going to be a good thing that Wilson will have some time to work with the lads before our next game.

Disappointed...again.
Didnt think we deserved to be a goal down at half time.
Expected a great fightback in the second which never arrived....
Pen was shit but was a pen....
Peacock was pushed for a pen...
Forster should of been booked for goading the fans.
Kicking the ball away is a bookable offence....no grey areas...end of.
Ref was poor but not to blame for defeat.
We have about enough games to escape and the glimmer of hope that we have a manager that can drag us out of it.
No players did well IMO.....I think a big brute in midfield would be a good signing in January.
Upset that a shit side (like us) didnt break sweat to contain us.......
Roll on two weeks.

sounds like we should meet up for a pint

on the point you made about peacock, me mate who went yesterday who is a Blades fan, therefore totally impartial and sat in the North Stand, AND knows his onions/football, thought Peacs was our best player...i thought he did ok

On the Timlin and his heading front, BHA knew they were unlikely to win anything in the air by humping it down the middle to Forster and Fleetwood, so fair play to them, put 6ft+ Virgo against Timlin and with a keeper who can pick out one of his own, used that tactic well....

Timlin from now on will be known as 'Fireman Sam'.......he always puts it out Cheesy

Nalis yesterday must have had a 100% pass completion rate, to Brighton.

That was fucking terrible. My first game for months what a waste of time, should have stayed in the pub, wank wank wank.

Most notable observations were Cox seems to have become a cheating diving petulant gobshite with the first touch of a fucking camel, Brez is worse than ever at claiming stuff in the air, Kanyuka (motm?!) is abysmal and Peacock and Timlin are as talent-less as ever.

It's interesting how differently people perceive Peacock's contributions to games... some people appreciate all the effort he puts in, and some rightly notice that he usually offers nothing, and plays up to the crowd mostly by wasting his energy preventing a throw in with a lung-busting run and slide to the touchline. I really don't think he's very good.

Better than Nalis, mind.

I've never ever doubted Peacocks endeavour, but as you say, it doesn't disguise the fact he's a carthorse.
