Corr has looked gash in both sub appearances today & Yeovil, with his poor injury record could see him being released in summer? Kanukya MOM must have been drawn out of a hat as McGovern was the only contender today. Wilson from the Radio clearly understands the task ahead of him & talked sense.
Just as well as the last 2 weeks (Orient excluded) we have looked a tired team  lacking the fight for a relegation battle at present. Next 2 weeks will be critical, esp the players he gets in / players that depart.

If we were still playing now Cox and Corr still wouldnt have managed a shot on target between them.

DV if we are going to continue humping long balls up to strikers it will continue for the rest of the season.

Our major problem in the side is pace, we have none in the midfield, none on the flanks and apart from Cox non eupfront mark Cox out of the game and the ball will just come straight back.

Corr was wank, and his leicester cameo apart has been all season

He held the ball up-brought other players into the game and rarely gave the ball away, one superb  lay off to JPM who should have tested the keeper.I agree about McGovern ,two good games in a row, just annoys me that its taken him so long to make an impression.I wouldn't mind betting Corr will start the next game.I thought Sturrock was poor today-I raved about his performance Friday but today,no-the occasion when he was holding up the ball and trod on it did make me chuckle thoigh, and thats the only entertainment I had today.By the way-Forster was an absolute cunt after the penalty-its not as if we had given him any stick in the Town End,but for 4 players to spend about 30 seconds gloating in front of the Town End is asking for trouble- Cox got booked for that earlier this season. Also Virgo should have been booked for kicking the ball away.Minor details maybe but fucking annoying none the less

So do I - although for me it's because I'm still bitter from 2004. That's 4 losses in a row against them 1 goal scored, 9 conceded. Boo.

...and Nicky Forster has scored 6 of them, the twat.

Agree JPM was our best player, was dead opposite Brez on the penalty incident, and it was the defenders fault letting it bounce, Brez did well to get there initially, and then fell over a prone player Kanyuka i think. Brighton are a poor side, we are worse, 220 mile round trip to watch that garbage, well chuffed!

Totally agree about Forster - there was no need for it at all and normally refs would punish them for it. However, the ref today managed to miss a blatant penalty for Peacock being rugby tackled at a corner (and that is no exaggeration), a yellow card for Virgo kicking the ball away, a yellow card for that wank tackle-from-behind on JPM, and possibly a penalty for Kanyuka but I couldn't see that one.

I'm not saying he didn't give any dodgy decisions our way, but those listed above were simple decisions that he got wrong.

Totally agree reeves, the ref (cunt) also missed a few tugs on peacock/cox in the first half which would have seen them one-on-one. Its no wonder Stuart Atwell has got to where he has got to in such a short space of time considering the competition he's up against in refereeing league football! Just to add, from where i was, Brez was fouled before the pen was given, he was literally being held down.

Cox, Cox who? Get him for a few bob, happy days!Kanyuka, shit defender, timlin - today wank, JPM, awesome to start with - corners need improving and towards the end of the game he lost his width. Ifil, give him some shooting practice, he'd do a good job. Those runs were awesome!Peacock needs to have a dig at 25 yards out.

Can only agree with what has been said already, although i thought the team (except Cox and Nalis..) looked okay in the first half. Jerel's distribution in the first half was surprisingly good too! But that all went down hill in the 2nd  Sad

Peacock looks knackered. He's usually the one workin his socks off and gettin stuck in, but was well off the pace today. He could certainly do with a rest.

When is Paynter back from suspension? We miss him....If he's back for the next game, i'd be tempted to drop the whiney cunt that is Simon Cox, and play Paynter and Blair up top.

And what has happened to both Easton and Corr?? They're absolutly shocking now! Maybe they're still suffering the effects of the Malpas era, but shit me, they're awful!

Hopefully Wilson has a chance to ring the changes when the oppotunity arises because this is getting beyond a joke!

Whilst we were bad today I thought Brighton were worse and them going away with a 2-0 victory was daylight robbery. We've played a lot worse than that this season, at least passes were reaching their target more often than not and there were a few decent moves.

The big problem though is that there is a lack of moral, lack of confidence, lack of organisation and a lack of tactics. It looked very much like another Byrne team and performance today which is probably only to be expected as Wilson won't have had much time to do anything yet.

I'm confident Wilson will sort it out and that we'll soon be moving away from the drop zone. As long as we hang on to Cox as we don't have anyone else that you can rely on to score plenty of goals.

I didn't think the ref was that bad today tbh.

All right this is just me and my problem with refs but he really was a cunt.

Every decision went againt us, but what really pissed me off in the first half, he called their number 22 to have a chat after several fouls, number 9 who i presume was captain went along for the chat and basically talked the ref out of booking him.

Cox got clipped from a brez throw out when he was clean through, ref's signals said it was accidental, the same happens 10 mins later and they get a free kick.

Weak cowardly reffing.

God I hate refs.

Having said that we were shit.  Apologies to all around me in the TE for my language.  But sometimes, cunt is justified.

Goodnight

Went today and am still defrosting...we tried to play some football and must say thaught we deserved a point...all the players put alot of effort in and i think that was reflected in the crowds reaction and support,,,but all the huff and puff didnt count for much, thaught JP worked hard and put some real quality crosses in..ime not his biggest fan but he could be a big player for us with Wilson playing a more passing game.
The crowd of 8400 was outstanding and it was pleasing to see the fans getting behind the team...we will be ok this season i think.
Havnt read all the posts on this thread so may have been said but Timlin,Peacock,Cox looked very tired,Timlin had a mare but hes quality and will come good when back in midfield.
The referee was a disgrace and i sincerly hope Brighton go down...just a team of bullys and dirty players, though well organised.
Saw DRS and Sie Pie in the County Hotel.....nice to meet a few TEFers, though Sie Pie does have a small look of evil about him.

How come Brighton can intimidate the ref but we can't? This has happenned a few times this season. Instead of being sorry for ourselves, we need to learn how to play the game. Basically, any team can intimidate us and we fold.

The only 2 good things to come from the game were, firstly that DW knows exactly what's needed

straight away.Secondly, that the board won't come out with anymore silly statements that we

have a "great squad of players".....We don't!

Although i don't expect wholesale changes in january, some hard decisions need to be made both

individually and collectively in january and at the end of the season. We're mediocre/poor in all areas.

Some decisions won't be universally liked, but we're at the stage where,if we move forward, then so be it.
