The halftime team talk on the pitch was spot on.

Hes right to take action. The Premier League novelty has worn off their players and they probably think its easy. Expect to see them drop like a stone.

Should have done it at full time if anything. Agree with the sentiment though.

Even though he looks a bit like a tv villain, I like Phil brown.

I think it was an original and apparently effective move.

Glad they showed it on MOTD.

Surprised that you felt that way. Was also surprised at Shearers comments on MOTD too. If I was a fan who'd traveled to an away game on Boxing Day and saw my side get a 4-0 dicking at half time I wouldn't be too chuffed!

Brown could have easily used the fans reaction to motivate the team. I suspect some were booing the poor performance, while others were cheering the bollocking the team were getting! So Brown could have used the 'Cmon lads, they're cheering you and want you to win!' or 'Listen to them, they don't think you're fit to wear the shirt! Now get out there and prove 'em wrong!' Either way, Brown's reputation must have been enhanced yet further with the fans!

Personally, I'm glad he did it! There's far too little accountability for mediocrity these days in all walks of life. He held those players accountable, and whether they liked it or not they certainly got the message!

That is bang on. The way players get protected nowadays makes me sick. Many think they are untouchable.

Then again there are worse. Barclays (my bank) bailing out Lehman brothers (a failed organisation) then honouring their massive bonuses made me feel physically sick and just full of rage.
