Fitton picks his man backs him to the hilt and sacks him if he's shit. He's done all of this. We're all frustrated its taking longer than we'd all like. My guess is that Fitton is being ultra careful and that as on paper we're rich and he wants someone in employment, they're asking full wack. He's probably going to have to compromise his principles somewhere along the way.
Also Fitton doesn't kick a ball. We just happen to have a bunch of worthless, bottlers and cunts who try to.
We either need to churn the whole fucking team or find a bloody good coach. Even Wenger would struggle with this lot.

Fitton hasnt picked his next man yet, thats the problem.

Paul Sturrock got this side in the top 10 so I think the likes of Wenger would do alright with them.

Andrew Fitton has come in for justified stick in my opinion. His position comes with certain responsibilities and expectations from supporters as well as the plaudits when it's going right on the pitch. The flip side is dogs abuse when things are fucked on the pitch like they are now.

Fitton is a member of the board as well as club Chairman. Jeremy Wray, Nick Watkins and James-Cuntington-Pissflap-Wills are among his fellow directors and they probably have considerable say in matters like appointing a new manager, so even though Fitton is the figurehead he's only really acting on behalf of the board.

After today I cant see the board getting too much sleep this weekend as they have low-confidence error-making players on the payroll, no fucking manager, a dire league position and the recent history of the Malpas fuck-up, not to mention 5 fucking weeks wasted on not recruiting his replacement and 7000+ angry fans.

Today's performance was a fucking joke. Pro players just can't be allowed to turn on the style for 10 minutes, score a couple of goals then just switch it off again and play like a parks team. The club can't do anything for not performing apart from dropping them or not renewing their contracts when they are up. They are going to get ripped up on forums and abused during matches when they play like that though. Not right, maybe, but someone has to keep it real.

Our defence is leaky as fuck, but if no one communicates with each other and players either shit themselves every time they get closed down or just fucking hoof it when there's no one to pass to, is it any surprise? The midfielders don't help out defenders when they are looking for an easy outlet. Time and again the midfield hide away or won't take the ball which means defenders often lose posession by just hoofing it out or up front.

Up front, we've now got a striker with a shit load of quality and potential but he has somehow morphed into a non-scoring midfielder-cum-defender since Malpas went. Why the fuck does Cox appear all over the fucking pitch? With no shape up front we're well and truly fucked, no matter how shit the service is from McNamee or JPM. His first touch was awful today and I watched him twice boot the ball out of midfield, only to then chase the ball himself! He needs to get back in position, give us an outlet from midfield and start scoring goals again. I honestly cannot see why Byrne lets him do what the fuck he wants as it isn't helping him, the team or results. I'm not pointing a finger at Coxy as he's been brilliant for us, but the basics need to be right. If I was him I'd be off like a rocket in January, but like someone else said, who's going to sign him playing like he is at the moment? Someone might take a chance, but the transfer fee will be well below what a free-scoring Simon Cox should be worth to us.

I do wonder if any of the players actually like each other of if they are not getting paid or something. Again, I have no idea on either count but there has to be a reason for the general level of shite they're dishing up. Byrne sounded like he knows what is wrong in his post match talk, but either can't fix it, or is just resigned to leaving it to whoever they bring in.

Hopefully the board will get their act together this week. Their honeymoon is well and truly over now and they need to face reality.

What paints a bad picture is that was fucking shit. 3-2 is a much better scoreline than we deserved. Yeovil weren't great, but they didn't need to be.

That was pretty fucking woeful. Reminded me of King's first season when he kept us up, but with about half as much spirit. The constant running out of options when moving forward, with the ball often ending up back with the keeper was definitely a reminder of the days when Bobby Howe bossed our midfield.

From today I'd say our problem is in midfield as much as defence. The defending, whilst about as solid as a frosty pond, looked like it could be resuscitated with an injection of confidence and some Ritalin. Yet the midfield was just pretty consistently ineffective at both defending, going forward and football in general. I didn't even notice Easton was on the pitch until the second half, took me by surprise a bit.

I wasn't quite expecting it to be that shit, not sure why. I don't think a shit team would have bothered me so much if it wasn't for the atmosphere. There wasn't even no atmosphere, it was worse than that, like some sort of negative atmosphere. A Vampire crowd, sucking the energy and christmassy happiness out of everybody. Pretty dangerous when there are old people about, think it was a bit much for Fred.

Peacock is neither sharp enough nor quick enough to play up front.I hope some people will appreciate Paynter a bit more now-Cox missed him I reckon.

Quite the opposite. Peacock's movement was far superior to paynters. Yeovil couldn't cope with it. Cox may have missed billy but he still had enough chances for a hatric.

there hasn't been an atmosphere all season ben. fuck up by the board(aswell as the malpas disaster)in the townend season ticket cost decision.

Bang on, the atmosphere hasn't been right far too often this season. The TE is so fucking quiet nowadays as it's only ever about a third full, the DR wakes up now and then but it's mostly quiet apart from the boys in the top corner. The Arkell's speaks (or sleeps) for itself. If the board had thought it through properly they could of made it cheaper to go in the TE, thus keeping the brilliant atmosphere that was there for the last few seasons. I think the atmosphere counts for a lot from the players point of view and a vocally active TE used to let one or two players know the score if they were not pulling their fucking weight as well.

It's ironic that it took a cunt like Diamandis to whack up the prices, accidentally sending the overall atmosphere sky-high when everyone headed to the TE because it was cheaper. Then the new board came in and rightly slashed prices in an effort to get the crowds back in, only to send the atmosphere down again as the TEnders fucked off back to where it's comfy, the view is better and it's just as cheap as the TE was!

Anyone know if the supporters club or the trust had any input when that ticket price review was done? I cant help thinking those nosey fuckers would of spotted the atmosphere flaw a fucking mile off if they had, so the answer is probably no Yes

Who cares they're all shit

That's what I meant.

We have never had more defenders on the books, but we have no defence.

Can you remember that match that seems so log ago..you know the one, when we hammered Tranny on the first saturday....the atmosphere was brilliant,i for one have had enough of it always being our fault...its down to the club as a whole to create an atmosphere at a match...itton missed a massive opportunity when he appointed MM,even half a name would have sold him 8000 not 6000 tickets and now we are being told that from 50 applicants Richard Money was the cream that rose to the top...call me old fashioned but that isnt going to get the juices flowing..one good season with Walsall!
I was ther today and was appalled at the display on the pitch...and amazed there were 7000 there to see it being a week before xmas and off the back of losing to Crewe.
Its nothing to do with Ticket prices, fans will pay big money and create a good atmosphere if they get value for money or at the least some effort...Villa fans paid 32 quid to watch there team go third today.I for one think our fans are very loyal...just because a few whinge on the internet sites  so what....i hope the fuk up of this week is a blessing in disguise and someone with abit more get up and go than Money can be enticed here surely thats not asking for too much..
