Flappy at fault for another goal.
No-ideas at all. After equalising i thought we'd go on and win it. We sort of gave up again though.
Some of the fans around me need shooting. One blokey spent the whole game constatnly bitching about mcgovern. Wanker
I really dont care that we've lost. I just kind of expected it, and don't feel too angry about it. Its weird.
One positive to take from the day is the lovelly new hat i purchased. £3.90. Bargain.

You'll need it, it's cold in Macclesfield.

They're right down there with us. Of course they're huge. We have to get out of this situation now before a gap starts to build above us.

No they're no huger than any other game, we can win these games fail to follow this up and it makes no difference. Assuming 52 points is a likely stay up figure, it wasn't in 81/82, then we need to find 32 points from somewhere...so roughly 9 wins and 5 draws.

Looking at the away games say 2 wins and 4 draws out of 13 games is a bare minimum.

Leaving 7 wins and a draw from the home games, 12 remaining, can it happen?

That was truly dire, I don't know whether it looked worse because I could actually see following my move to the DRS or whether it was actually worse than it has been but we are a shambles and 3-2 flattered us. Apart from a 10 min spell after the second goal, they were by far the better team and could have been out of sight were it not for a bit of individual brilliance from Timlin.

Smith - what more has got to happen for Brez to be recalled, I disagree with some of the abuse he got today, as it's never right during the 90 mins, but how can Brez be any worse. No confidence, and the back four had to continually hook the ball clear and give possession away as they have no confidence in him. Could have been embarrassed by getting caught in no-man's-land on 2 or 3 occasions.

The back 4 - no real glaring errors but as a unit we are horrendous at the back. Another set piece conceded, absolute chaos for the third goal. No communication, leadership and confidence. 3 goals against a poor Yeovil side just shows how bad they were.

Midfield - Timlin was mom by a country mile, Easton was no worse than Pook has been, but is better on the ball. JP was a constant threat imo, but Macca gave away the ball constantly by hanging on to it and not releasing early. He got caught in possesion time and again rarely threatened.

Cox just did not look happy. Missed a sitter with his head and didn't look himself at all. Peacock worked hard as ever but is not a natural striker.

The biggest problem though, is Byrne. He should never have gone 433, taking away all width and basically saying "look, we've got nothing other than 2 big lumps up front so we're gunna play long ball". We were chasing the game and never really had a chance to knick a point. No leadership or confidence shown by anyone on that pitch, and there was almost an air of acceptance about the whole thing. We didn't work hard or look like we were chasing the game, and there was a distinctive lack of urgency throughout.

3-2 defeat at home to a side in the bottom 4, who have scored 5 away goals all season before today and who looked distinctly average (at best), we are in free fall and every game look worse!

My worry is the points we've thrown away, probably at least 8 or 9, when we were playing not too badly, have now to be made up. Clearly the Board didn't anticipate this, Watkins even stated we weren't in freefall so no rush...we are now.

Right, I'm going on a rant....

the game was shit, we were shit, they were shit, the ref was shit the linesman was shit, their drum was shit.

Very few players can take anything out of that as alot of them were piss poor.

Phil Smith - I've stuck up for him but their first goal was all down to him, came for it and go no where near it. If you arent going to get the ball stay on your line, He's had it and its time for a long spell in the stiffs, Brez in next week - 0

Jack Smith - Did alright, works well with JPM good footballer - 4

Hasney Aljofree - No idea what happened but he went off injured - 0

Sean Morrison - What the fuck was he playing at for the second goal, put his hand and stopped. Thats a school boy error, play to the whistle. How he got man of the match is anyones guess. I'd actually fine him a weeks wages for such a poor poor error - 0

Jerel Ifil - Could and probably should have stopped the first and third goal. Poor distribution and got torn a new arsehole by Luke Rodgers - 0

Callum Kennedy - Did alright, some good balls some mistakes - 3

JP McGovern - Played very well in spells and not so well in others, final ball was erractive but if we were going to create anything it looked like it might come from him. Missed his goal was talking to Adje and Tails - 5

Craig Easton - Did ok but I thought as a whole our midfield was totally shown up. Not enough battle in there, some nice passes. Should have had a goal - 3

Michael Timlin - Ace free kick but similiar to Easton - 4

Anthony McNamee - Did he do anything, wow he can do step overs. I've never seen a player do so many step overs and get no where with them. No competition for his place and I'd rather see Macklin out there - 0

Lee Peacock - Did he play? didnt notice. Striker my arse - 0

Simon Cox - Going in January? no chance, shit. Drops waay too deep and should have had a hat trick today.  Missed some right easy chance - 0

Now more of a rant.

Right, Mr. Fitton I am forever greatful for you saving our club but that boat has well and truely sailed. Sort it the fuck out.

I dont give a fuck what you've done in the past but you have ballsed this management appointed up 100%. I dont give a flying fuck about your love for the youth team, I dont give a fuck if you think agents are lying cunting scum who you wont deal with. I dont care if a team what a stupidly large amount of comenstation. Bite the bullet and get us a damn manager. We need one and we need him 3 weeks ago.

We need a manager, not an academy director or an ex player. We need a fucking manager, one who has been there and done that. We need a man who will unite our troops and take them to fucking war. This is no time for gambles and inexperiences managers.

We're in a relegation fight now, no doubt about it. First time I've said it but we are in trouble. Last season we were 10th so we could afford a gamble on a manager because it wouldnt matter if we dropped a few places. Now a few places is the different between League One and League Two.

Also, if the whole process has really started again because other applicants have applied, then so what? If the closing date for a job was the 15th no normal business would accept an application sent in on the 19th!!!

We have to have a manager in by Monday. No later, nothing less. Pick a man and go get him. We have to have a new manager in Monday to take training to pick his time before the Leyton Orient game. The next two games are vitally important. Anything less than 6 points and we are fucked.

Different owners but still the same old shambles, somehow we always come out looking like a complete and utter laughing stock. I dont care what Fitton has done in the past but he isnt doing a good job here.

I'm going to stop now before I go on about the sacking of Malpas!!!

Maybe I'll calm down and regret some of these comments but it has to be said.

Fitton, fucking sort it out now!

Although you're probably in a America!

I really need to vent my spleen. I'm so fucking angry with today's "performance". Conceding three goals at home to a team who are just as bad, if not worse than us is just criminal. Added to that the fact we lost at Crewe as well has really just topped it off. I just can't see us winning at Orient or beating Brighton either.

I don't think I can blame Byrne for toda's reasult, tactically we didn't seem awful but the players were just completely inept, devoid of any attacking prowess at all. They just did not seem to give a fuck at all. From my point of view, they don't seem to care that we may be dragged into a relegation battle as long as they pick up a paycheck every week.

There are so many passengers in our team that we need to get rid of, but my fear is that if we do that we'll lose any stability that we do have and go on an even worse run. It's a lose-lose situation.

We really need a new manager in as soon as fucking possible. Someone who can get the players playing for the shirt. I know I've said it before that I acknowledge the fact that Fitton wants to get the right man, but if it drags on too much longer and we carry on in the same form we're in at the moment then we will get relegated. Averaging a point a game is not enough.

Agreed, Reg. How valuable will goals like Lines in the last minute v Rovers turn out to be at the end of the season. Someone should go and count up the league table and take off all our last 10 minute goals to see where we'd be.

And, my God, Fitton HAS to make a decision next week now - Freefall is too kind a word for the situation right now.

Yeovil were dire and we controlled long periods of the game. Yet we still conceded 3. Groundhog day swindon. Those last 15 mins were a mess. What formation were we supposed to be playing? Signs are bad, very bad.

I am not going to say much about this but several players clearly think they are better than they are and why oh why were we kicking the ball to Peacock in the box when Yeovil ALWAYS had 3 players on him didn't make sense. I have accepted we are shit and likely going down so not too bothered really. If we stay up fair enough. There doesn't appear to be any leadership on the pitch but we move on. Roll on Orient.
