Lets face it, if we lose to Cheltenham next Tuesday we really should all give up and plan for league 2 next season!

The key with a relegation scrap is you forget the results even if theyve been really bad.

Still loads of games to go and its not over until its over.

If we do loose to Cheltenham then Wilson has to draw a line in the sand and get their heads sorted. Otherwise we could waste loads of games (while they get their heads sorted) then end up only going down by a few points.

We're now 4 points and 3 places worse off than in 05/06....then our final slump began.

This season I'd say it was HPool...the effect can be seen already....it's going to take something quite special to reverse this trend...

having looked at our remaining fixtures, i reckon we will get around 15-16 points from our remaining games.

Borderline then! one saving grace is the goal differences currently between ourselves and the clubs around us, as it may well come down to that.

I'd say the season now hinges on what reinforcements Wilson can get in for the final games.  As things stand I'd say we're as good as down...we've been gradually sliding and could easily have worked our way clear over the last few games.

Had we beaten HPool then level on points with them...they're now sat on 43, after a couple of decent results.

That is what we needed, but these players just don't know how to win games even when against poor sides under little pressure.

No way they'll be able to handle the pressure of the raft of six pointers coming along.

So it is evident that Reg Smeeton has thrown in the towell and given up already.

Is this the general consensus among Town fans, or do others still believe?

I still believe we can and will stay up, today was encouraging a lot more fight and belief.  Keep playing like that and we will get the results we need.
