I think it has to be MGMT - Oracular Spectacular, although most of the best songs were the singles, the singles are all ridiculously good. Glasvegas by Glasvegas, Forth by the Verve, Only by the Night by Kings of Leon and Intimacy by Bloc Party were also all very good.

The Enemy - We'll Live and Die In These Towns and MGMT - Oracular Spectacular.
Vampire Weekend, Verve, Winehouse, Ronson and Detectives all worth a mention but none sucked me off in the way the above did.

There's no way glasvegas are overrated, they're still quite underrated. They haven't even had a number one album yet when they certainly deserve to.

Nice sound but nowt has really grabbed me by the throat just yet but I suspect there could be a few growers in there. Kings of Leon would be an absolute superb and original band. If only we all still had mullets, acid wash tripped jeans and it was the mid-90’s. |
