I very much don't think so somehow - as I've said before I'm sure it was out of frustration at not having won a game and probably being told he wasn't on the shortlist that drove him to the boiling point

This is just my opinion...Byrne is a good football man but no manager,if a few posts on a forum etc is pissing him off then surely he isnt going to handle pressure....most posts on here were very complimentary to him....just a few on other sites wasnt,BIG DEAL,top managers get shite aimed at them every week..Even Wenger was getting serious earache not long ago its part of the job.

He was specifically asked what he thought about posters on the Adver comments section slating him for taking off Kennedy. So he told them. In no uncertain terms

But he generalised didnt he...didnt hear him say that more fans were supportive towards him on the forums.....like saying a thousand coppers were bent when only ten are....hes a hothead if you want that then fair enough,most good managers would have laughed it off.
Incidently my main concern is his tactics,played Joyce the other week and destroyed the youngsters confidence dragging him off after 30 mins and Joyce hasnt been seen since.

Not really no - made it pretty clear he was talking only about those who don't go to games but sit and moan on t'internet during games they can't have a hope of understanding tactics etc cos they can't see them. That's pretty specific

Byrne's right though, isn't he?  Some of the comments & reasoning behind the subbing of Kennedy defy description.  From my seat in the DR Stand, it looked to me if the lad got a kick on his calf as he cleared a ball.  He was certainly on the deck a long time before the physio came on & treated him.  He was walking awkwardly & was taken off.  Amankwaah came on, Smith swapped wings & the defence adjusted.  We concede from a doubtful free kick & suddenly Byrne's the devil incarnate, poor tactician, lousy man manager, not a clue.  In my book, Davie Byrne was absolutely spot on with his criticisms of SOME of the armchair experts. If they can give their opinions so freely they should be prepared for him to exercise his right & give an opinion too - even if forcefully expressed.  I've no idea whether Byrne is in the frame or not, whether he'd make a great manager or not, whether he has a long term future at the County ground or not - but I've always admired people who speak their mind.  Good on ya, Byrne

Surely we have established by now the following points. Byrne was right but was stupid to say it in such an abrupt lary cockney twattish way. Yeah they are idiots but you bite your tongue as a defeat saturday leaves him open now to even more abuse than before.

But he did surely!  The first part of the Adver article begins, DAVE Byrne has launched an astonishing attack on a section of Town supporters, blasting them as ‘morons’, ‘donuts’ and ‘anoraks’.  A section - not all but some - a section.  Indeed in another part of the article he states that, “Some of the people on forums are constructive".  In other words he found some of the articles helpful, maybe sympathetic, perhaps critical but in an analytically & informed way. The point he was damning was the reasons for subbing Kennedy given on some forums by people who apparently weren't at the game
